How research guides the five sections
GPT-5.6 Luna receives the submitted dream alongside brief, original summaries of reviewed studies on memory, emotion, and dream context. Each of the five sections must use this research as a boundary for interpretation. The model does not search the web or receive full articles.
In brief and Possible themes stay close to the dream’s stated details; Questions for reflection ask about experiences without assuming them; Symbols & perspectives emphasize personal associations over universal meanings; What research can support explains relevant findings and their limitations. Personalized meanings remain AI-generated possibilities.

AI generation and quality controls
The standard interpreter sends the submitted dream to OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Luna model after automated safety screening. It requests structured sections, requires concrete non-identifying details from the submitted dream, and rejects canned or insufficiently specific drafts. One controlled regeneration may be attempted when a draft fails validation; if a valid result cannot be produced, the site reports that the service is unavailable instead of substituting a generic interpretation.
The model is instructed to present alternatives, distinguish cultural symbolism from research, and avoid diagnoses, predictions, certainty, or unsupported sensitive inferences. These controls reduce—not eliminate—the risk of error. Every completed result carries the full scientific-limits notice.
